A native of Jackson, MS, Dr. Nichols graduated from St. Andrew’s Episcopal School and later received a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Mississippi. He then attended the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, earning his medical degree.

Following medical school, Dr. Nichols completed a residency in internal medicine and fellowships in both cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. During his interventional cardiology fellowship, Dr. Nichols received focused training in peripheral vascular disease and structural heart disease, including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR).

Dr. Nichols is board-certified in both, internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. He is also a member of the American College of Cardiology.

An active member of the Jackson community, Dr. Nichols currently resides in Fondren with his wife and two young sons. In his spare time, he can be found running, gardening, and insisting on fixing everything around the house himself, much to his wife's dismay.
